Multiplier event „Migrants and Self-Employment“ on 31st of August 2017 in Leipzig, Germany

The Multiplier event for Germany within the M.I.C.R.O. project took place on 31^st of August 2017 in Leipzig. The title of the event was “Migrants and Self-Employment”. Carola Dierich from wisamar Bildungsgesellschaft gemeinnützige GmbH presented the M.I.C.R.O. project and gave the participants detailed insights into the e-learning course. Furthermore, she gave an overview on the materials for migrants who want to start-up a business. To complete the event we had a look at the possibilities of self-employment for migrants in Leipzig. Therefore, Andreas Kirste from Existenzgründerzentrum EGZ Schulungs- und Beratungsgesellschaft mbH (center for entrepreneurs) spoke about their specific consultancy offers for entrepreneurs with migrant background and Jens Sommer-Ulrich from the office for economic development of the city of Leipzig presented the Mittelstandsförderprogramm (program to support small and medium-sized businesses by the city of Leipzig).

The participants were very interested in the topic, asked numerous questions and gave positive feedback in the evaluation of the event. In addition, they used the break and the time after the event for networking.
